is mourning her death from cancer.

Jane Douglas-Foote’s family is mourning
the unexpected loss of her younger sister, Betty Montgomery.
The funeral was held last Wednesday in Bowling Green. |

Charles
Ferrell, Amanda Friend’s
father, is suffering from liver problems.

 |
Lucy Green
was admitted to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.
They are running tests at this time to determine the cause of
her recent problems. She
and Bobby are requesting no visitors or phone calls at this time.

Lynn
Johnson, Debbie Fields’s sister, recently has successful knee
replacement surgery.
|
 |
Pamela Morris has a benign mass on her
thyroid that will probably have to be removed soon.
|
 |
Sondra McCutcheon, former member, is very
ill and faces possible surgery in the coming weeks.
|
 |
Janie Morfield, Budde Egner’s friend
from Benton, KY, is in Oaklawn with cancer.

Janis
Lewis’s family is
mourning the loss of her brother, Gene Walker. The funeral was held
last Wednesday.

 |
Barbara Pearce, Joann’s Campbell’s
friend, had treatment last Monday for her cancer.
Also, her blood count is very low. |
 |
Mark Posey, Debbie Fields’s cousin, has
learned that the tumor on his lung is benign. |
 |
The
family of Gale Sherman,
Lysa and Peg’s neighbor, is mourning her recent death. |

School Supply Drive:
Next Sunday, January 14, is the deadline for the collection of
school supplies for the Trujillo Christian School in Honduras.

Fortieth Anniversary:
The first committee meeting to plan our fortieth anniversary
celebration will be at 5:00PM next Sunday, January 14. |

New Beginnings:
There are signup slots available on the bulletin board for 2007.
The next drop-off day is January 21. |

Wednesday Night Class:
On January 31 and February 7, Earl Collins will be teaching the
Peak of the Week class. The
class will only meet in the evening these two weeks. |

Office Closed: The church office will be
closed January 15 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
It will also be closed January 25 – February 1 while the
Benfers are in Texas. If you need anything during this time, please
contact Chester or Earl. |

Nursery:
There is a (hot pink) tentative nursery schedule for the first
half of 2007 on the bulletin board.
Ladies, please review this list and let Jill know if you are
unable to serve when assigned. If
Jill does not hear from you by next Sunday, she will assume you are
willing to serve. |

Baptist East: We are still collecting
individually-wrapped snacks for the patients at Baptist East.
Please place them in the basket in the foyer or give them to
Diana Collins. |
Peak of the Week Bible Study
 | Please make plans to join us this Wednesday at
11:00AM or 7:00PM for our Peak of the Week class in the fellowship hall
as Kent continues to lead us through a study of Acts.
