Prayer Concerns

Lysa Clark will continue to be monitored over the next couple weeks as her doctors determine whether or not the last chemotherapy treatment was effective.

Peg Clark has had difficulty adjusting to changes in her medication.

June Jennings, mother of former member John Jennings, was involved in a serious car accident last week and spent some time on life support.

bullet

Virginia Mouser, Carolyn Isenberg’s mother, continues to struggle with her health.

bullet

Blake Ramsey, grandson of Janis Lewis’s friend, Inez Duke, continues to serve in Bagdad, Iraq.  He is currently in active combat. His address is posted on the bulletin board.

Adam Swanson, Marie Swanson’s son, is dealing with some very serious personal issues at this time.

Deloris Wilkins, Rose Ellis’s sister, was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Office Closed:  The church office will be closed tomorrow, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day.

bulletNew Wednesday Peak of the Week:  This Wednesday will be our final study of Acts.  Our next Wednesday study will center on the book, Renewing God’s People, a history of the Churches of Christ.  Copies of these books and more information on the study will be available in class Wednesday night.  See Kent for more details.
bulletFortieth Anniversary:  Next Sunday, June 3, we will hold another planning session for the fortieth anniversary homecoming celebration scheduled for August 4-5.

Summer Gospel Revival:  The Midwest Church of Christ is hosting a Summer Gospel Revival June 17-21.  Please see the bulletin board for more details.

bulletJoint Worship: Mark your calendars for our next joint worship service!  We will worship with our Watterson Trail Church of Christ brothers and sisters at their building on the evening of July 15.

bulletBudget: Updated copies of the church budget are available in the foyer.
bulletComputer: If you are in need of a computer, please see Kent.  The church has one that we are no longer using.  Also, if you have any old computers, please give them to Aaron Ellis; he is part of an organization that reworks old computers and gives them to people in need.
bulletHonduras: The May newsletter from the Trujillo Christian School is on the bulletin board.
bulletJune Schedules:  The June worship service assignments are available on the bulletin board.  June calendars are also available in the foyer.
bulletKingsfield Children’s Home: Please plan on filling and bringing your change can back to church by August 26. There are a few change cans left in the foyer for those who did not pick up a change can last week.  There are also some brochures about the children’s home.
bulletMissions Update: It was decided at the business meeting this week that the money donated in memory of Lucille Green would be given to the preacher training school in the West African nation of Ghana that former minister, Joe Connell, works with regularly.  It was also decided to make a one-time donation to Arnold Garcon, the missionary from Haiti that visited with us several weeks ago.  If you have any questions about this please see Bill Reed.

New Beginnings:  Please sign up if you will bring food for this ministry next month.  The drop-off day is June 17.

bulletNursery Renovation: Any change given in the weekly contribution will go to the nursery fund, as renovations are currently underway.
