could use letters of encouragement.

Hewett’s mother has had
brain surgery to remove a tumor.

Sue King,
Janis Lewis’s friend, had surgery to remove the two spots of lung
cancer doctors had found.

Katie
Phillips, Robert
Phillips’s mother, will have cataracts surgery soon.

Mary
Roundtree, Aaron Ellis’s
cousin, passed away this week.

Becky
Wooten is in very serious
condition at Norton Suburban. The
family welcomes visitors and cards.
They ask for your prayers for Becky to have peace, and they
pray for wisdom as they make decisions.

Peak of the Week Bible Study:
Please
make plans to join us this Wednesday at 7:00PM in the fellowship hall as
we continue with chapter ten of our study on the history of the Churches
of Christ.

Watterson Trail Church of Christ will be holding a game night at
6:00PM this Friday, August 17. No
RSVP is necessary.

Beginnings:

 | Benfers’ Last Sunday: Next Sunday, August 19, will be Kent, Jill, and Maddie
Benfer’s last day at the Middletown congregation before moving to Fort
Worth. Kent will preach the
morning service; that evening will be the third Sunday Singing. |
 | Potluck: Next
Sunday, August 19, will be a potluck lunch immediately following morning
services. Meat will be
provided, so please bring a side or a dessert. |
 | “Marriage Matters” Seminar: Westport Road Church of Christ is hosting a (no-cost)
marriage enrichment seminar featuring Jerry and Lynn Jones August 19-22.

Trail Church of Christ has invited those who are interested to join them
golfing at the Weissinger Golf Course in Shelbyville on September 15 at
10:00AM. If you are

bringing your change can back by Sunday, August 26.
