Prayer Concerns

	Lysa Clark continues to await results of her recent treatments.
	Darlene Crask came home from the hospital this week. She could use letters of encouragement.
	Sue King, Janis Lewis’s friend, had surgery to remove the two spots of lung cancer doctors had found.
	Katie Phillips, Robert Phillips’s mother, will have cataracts surgery soon.
	Becky Wooten is in very serious condition at Norton Suburban in room 446. The family welcomes visitors and cards. They ask for your prayers for Becky to have peace, and they pray for wisdom as they make decisions.
	Continue to pray for these people, as well: Natalie Burgess, Peg Clark, Jennifer Collins, Pat Connell, Jim Davis, Barbara England, Johnny Fielder, Debbie Fields, Jonathan Gatewood, Brenda Hewett’s mother, Adam Hoskins, June Jennings, Janie Mofield, Pam Morris, Virginia Mouser, Barbara Pearce, Blake Ramsey, Deloris Wilkins, Mary Woodward, and Virginia Woodward.

	New Beginnings: Today is the drop-off day for this ministry. Please sign up on the sheet in the foyer if you will bring food for the next Sunday, September 16.
	Benfers’ Last Sunday: Today is Kent, Jill, and Maddie Benfer’s last day at the Middletown congregation before moving to Fort Worth, Texas. Kent will preach the morning service before they leave. This evening will be the third Sunday Singing.
	Potluck: Today, there will be a potluck lunch immediately following morning services. Please plan to stay!
	“Marriage Matters” Seminar: Westport Road Church of Christ is hosting a (no-cost) marriage enrichment seminar featuring Jerry and Lynn Jones today through August 22. More information, including a schedule, is on the bulletin board.
	Camp Sing: August 24 from 7PM-12AM at Spring Mill Bible Camp will be a singing. See the bulletin board for more information.
	Kingsfield Children’s Home: Please plan on filling and bringing your change can back by NEXT Sunday, August 26. Paul Denny will be preaching.
	Golf: Watterson Trail Church of Christ has invited those who are interested to join them golfing at the Weissinger Golf Course in Shelbyville on September 15 at 10:00AM. If you are interested, please contact Paul Meredith at 267-7245.

	Baptist East: Posted on the bulletin board is a letter from a former patient at Baptist East thanking us for the cards that many of our ladies make and donate. Please take time to read this sweet letter.
	Minister Search Committee: Thanks to Cecil Bowling, Budde Egner, Bobby Green, Anna Grider, and Bill Reed for volunteering for the Minister Search Committee. Please pray for this group in this most important undertaking.
	Volunteers: Mike Evans and Aaron Ellis have volunteered to take over the bulletin and PowerPoint duties; submit any information to them.
	*Does God Exist?*: The July/August issue of this magazine is available in the foyer.
	Building: Since there have been no volunteers to take over the Building Ministry, Chester Ambrose will continue in that role for the time being. Please let Chester know if you would be willing to help with this ministry.
